Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the heart of Bruges, Hotel Duc De Bourgogne is a hidden gem that captivated us from the moment we arrived. the rich history dating back to the 1600s adds a unique charm to this centrally located hotel. Eager to explore, we were enchanted by the picturesque views of Rozenhoedkaai and the graceful swans gliding through the canals. The warm welcome extended to us and our furry companion by the experienced team instantly made us feel at home. the spacious Junior Suite we stayed in offered mesmerizing views of the canal, creating a truly immersive experience in the city. the room was well-equipped, with modern amenities ensuring a comfortable stay. the breakfast buffet offered a variety of freshly baked bread, fruits, juices, and eggs, providing a delicious start to our days of exploration. the restaurant's reputation as one of the most romantic in the country was certainly well-deserved. The hotel's prime location near the Grand Place, the Burg Square, and the historic fish market allowed us to easily navigate the city on foot, soaking in the beauty of the historic buildings and bustling cafes. We cannot wait to return and immerse ourselves once again in the romance, art, and culinary delights that this splendid hotel has to offer.
